Our History
I started in Bradford above the eye care center selling equipment out of my apartment and working on vehicles in the rear lot. I went by the name Underground Audio back then. I have since moved to Erie, Pa and finally to Lexington Kentucky where my best friend from Erie and we started ClearSound Car Audio in 2000. We were very active in the SPL Competition circuit. I even hosted and arranged our own MECA sanctioned competition at our own shop. We quickly established ourselves in the car audio scene. I left in 2006 and the shop closed in 2007.
I have since moved back to Bradford where I was doing web and graphic design and online marketing for the next 15 years while still working with home and car stereos on the side. I have now started up my business again as Crooks Custom Audio. I soon hope to open a decent sized shop where I will begin manufacturing my own line of home and car audio speakers and other equipment. In fact I still use the same supplier I’ve used for almost 30 years.
Until then I will continue to serve the community with my vast knowledge and skill from my home. At this time it is more cost effective and viable for me, as I am still generating interest and introducing the community to what exactly it is that I do.
